Simple DIY | rock guest book

I’m super excited that you are reading today’s post because it’s extra special!!! Yep, there’s a DIY tutorial up and it’s not Friday!!! Today is the very first of a brand new feature called “Simple DIY”! Every other week or so, we will be sharing quicker, easier, and more simple projects than our regular DIY Friday features. DIY-ing a project for your wedding doesn’t always have to be a big deal and with these new features we hope to inspire you to make something special for your event, no matter the talent or time you have! Today’s project is a super fun rendition of a guest book… have your guests sign rocks instead of regular paper!

DIY Rock Guest Book Wedding

SUPPLIES:

  • smooth lava rocks
  • acrylic paint pens
  • pretty basket
  • frame
  • cardstock

STEP ONE: on a piece of cardstock, draw a sign to tell your guest what to do “Please sign or draw on a rock for our guest book”. If you don’t TELL them what to do they might not know! Then put it in a cute frame.

STEP TWO: provide multiple acrylic paint pens for your guests to write with!

STEP THREE: have a cute ‘soft’ basket out to collect all your special rocks! *Don’t put out a glass container! Display the rock basket in your new home, use the rocks as paper weights, or maybe place them in your garden… and remember how much the two of you are loved!
